What are the qualifications Butler Animal Health Supply seeks in its sales candidates?
Butler Animal Health Supply has both "inside sales" opportunities and "outside sales" opportunities.

Our "inside" sales personnel are known as Inside Sales Representatives (ISR). We seek candidates with a minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) with knowledge of animal science or veterinary technology either through course work or animal health-related experience. Candidates must have excellent communication and customer service skills and have at least one year of experience in customer service and/or telephone sales. Familiarity with computers is always a plus as is education beyond the high school level.

Our "outside" sales personnel are called Territory Managers (TM). We seek candidates with a minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) with at least two years of experience working in a veterinary or distribution environment. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of the veterinary industry as well as marketing principles/strategies. A bachelor's degree in business and/or veterinary medicine is preferred.

Territory managers must possess strong communication, writing, negotiation, time management, and organizational skills. Additionally, they must have the ability to
understand and assimilate product knowledge and technical materials and have a strong customer service orientation. All TM candidates must have the ability to travel daily and maintain a flexible work schedule as well as possess a valid driver's license.

We strongly prefer candidates who are able to demonstrate an excellent track record in sales and marketing and who possess an outstanding industry reputation. Laptop experience with sales force automation is an additional plus.

The easiest thing to do would be to log in to AccessButler.com . You can also call one of our Telesales branches using the following phone number: 1-800-551-3861, or call your Territory Manager through the same number.

How do I get Butler Animal Health Supply to stock an item that I like to use in my practice and you don't carry it?
There are 2 answers to this question. If it is an item from a supplier Butler Animal Health Supply represents, it is simply a matter of asking your Butler Animal Health Supply Territory Manager or Telemarketer to stock the item for you. If you could let them know how much you use and about how often you buy it we will be happy to service you needs.

If it is an item from a company that Butler Animal Health Supply does not carry, you can make your request by notifying your Territory Manager or sending an email to the appropiate business segment director at the corporate office. They will review your request and submit it to the Marketing Department for consideration and get back to you and let you know if it will be added to our line or if we currently carry a suitable replacement product.

Does Butler Animal Health Supply sell anything to prevent the spread of Hoof and Mouth Disease?
Vaccines are not available for use in the U.S at this time. There are disinfectants available (i.e.TekTrol) that are approved for use against Hoof and Mouth 

If I supply Butler Animal Health Supply with a list of my farm accounts will you drop ship product directly to them for me?
Yes. Butler's PharmLink service allows the drop shipment of products to your livestock producers and horse owners.
